Dream Visions

Hip-hop dancing, seven-year-old Shu-Shu beat me in the talent show last night. I remember running around the stage a few times to get warmed up. There was a delay before my act because the waterfall machine, which was powering my church's auditorium, had become disconnected between rows 2 and 12. When they had finally fixed the waterfall by playing Ben Folds to it with another piano they had brought in, it was my turn. I knew Shu-Shu had won before I even went onstage, but I put on my tap shoes anyway because that's the integrity I have. I think I tapdanced to CCR's Suzie-Q. When I woke up, I realized that I had slept right through church, my roommate was shooing the cat off the bed, and my cell phone had alternately rung "Army" and "Suzie-Q."

I should've changed my ring to Magnum PI. That would've brought down the house.

..that's a funny dream, thanks for sharing. I like hearing of people's dreams, mostly, so i can selfishly tell them of my wacked out ones.......oh man, last night's was awful.....a true "night mare".......

...also, trying to tap to ccr's Susie Q, would be quite a feat!

first off, savingface, i hope your waterfall machines f'n breaks down hard. then you'll have no one to call but my stuck up british competition, higgins repair and that ass won't help you unless you wear really short shorts and have the appropriate ringer on your phone.

as for you, suzanne, i have an invoice here for services rendered 1-30-05. should i send this to you at the dellrose address or mail it to the church?

"savingface", don't rag on a man who can play piano totally drunk. he's a pretty good piano man.

but please, for the love of all that's good, don't go with Mangum PI, suzanne.

it's true, anonymous, that the five recorded army originally, but ben plays a mean solo of it on his live album--in which my ears have most recently partaken. thus, the solo occurrence in my dream. and, after all, it is my dream... so you should be making your addresses to my subconscious. if you think it'll help, i'll leave her a post-it.

Odd...my subconscious is also a "her".
